Information we collect

When you register for an account with one of our services, we will retain your email and account password, along with (if you choose to provide them) your full name, company name, and mobile number. While you use the Mattacloud service, we will retain any images taken during prints by the camera that you have set up to work with our service, printer source files, and printing parameters (such as filament temperature). If you are using a paid version of our services, we do not collect or store any of your credit card information (see "Payment and transactions").

Processing of your information

Under the GDPR, we control and / or process any personal information about you electronically using the following lawful bases.

The lawful basis for collection of your personal, printer, and printing information is to provide you with our service and maintain security of your account with us. We will not share any of your personal information with any third party companies.

If you are using the Beta version of Mattacloud, we may use your printer images (i.e. images, temperatures) as training data for our error detection AI. This currently falls under the sixth GDPR lawful basis clause, but will soon fall under the second clause when we implement automatic alerts for error catching into future versions of our service. You can opt out of us using your data in this way at any time by toggling the relevant button in your account preferences page.

If, as determined by us, the lawful basis upon which we process your personal information changes, we will notify you about the change and any new lawful basis to be used if required. We shall stop processing your personal information if the lawful basis used is no longer relevant.

Internet cookies

We use cookies on this website to provide you with a better user experience. We do this by placing a small text file on your device / computer hard drive to track how you use the website, to record or log whether you have seen particular messages that we display, to keep you logged into the website where applicable, and to display relevant adverts or content.

We use a cookie control system which allows you to accept the use of cookies, and control which cookies are saved to your device / computer. Some cookies will be saved for specific time periods, where others may last indefinitely. Our methods meet the GDPR compliance requirement. However, no electronic storage or method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We strive to achieve the utmost levels of security but we cannot guarantee the absolute security of all data.

When we provide paid products / services we utilise an external, third-party services for payment processing. We do not and will not collect or retain your payment card details. This policy may change from time to time. The latest effective date will be highlighted at the top of the privacy policy.

We will update this privacy policy when necessary to reflect customer feedback, changes in our programme / projects and services or legal changes. When we post changes to this policy, we will revise the date at the top of the privacy.

If there are sweeping material changes to the privacy policy or in how we will use your personal data, we will notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes before they take effect or by directly sending you a notification.
